IMCD buys in Israel, Colombia

IMCD has acquired three companies in recent weeks, two in Israel and one in Colombia. Terms were not disclosed in any of the deals. The three are:
* The import and distribution business of Tagra Biotechnologies, an Israeli distributor and supplier of raw materials and ingredients for cosmetics and personal care
* KOI Products Solutions, an Israeli distributor of speciality products mainly for the composite, paint, cosmetics, coatings and ink markets
* Allianz Group International, a distributor of APIs in Colombia T
he Tagra business has over 180 customers in the Israeli market, employs seven and generated revenue of about €6.5 million in 2021. It also has a local application laboratory that provides formulation support. KOI of Petach Tikva, had sales of over €8 million in the 2022 financial year 2022 and employed 13. The deal is expected to close in June.
IMCD Colombia first entered the pharmaceutical market by acquiring an ingredients distributor and claims to be “an emerging leader in delivering speciality chemicals, ingredients and formulatory solutions across all our core business segments”. Bogotá-based Allianz has 25 employees and had sales of €6.2 million in 2022.
