DC Fine Chemicals expands in Spain

DC Fine Chemicals has laid the first stone at its new €7 million headquarters in Terrassa, Spain. This comprises a 3,050 m2 building on a 7,300 m2 site, which will allow for total storage without the need for external warehouses and capacity of up to 1,900 pallets on seven levels, compared to the 900 in the former warehouse.

The firm said that the new centre also “presents significant advances in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency”. It has 108 photovoltaic panels capable of generating 50 kW of cleaner energy and was designed to incorporate green areas “to complement its commitment to the environment”.

DC supplies fine chemicals for diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and process solutions. The 30,000 products in its catalogue include bile acids, nucleic acids, amino acids, antimicrobials, APIs, carbohydrates, dyes and indicators, enzymes, excipients, analytical reagents and biological buffers.
