Airedale creates end-to-end chemical production facility

UK-based Airedale Chemical has acquired two automated filling, labelling and capping production lines with the capacity to produce 2.4 million units/year at its four-acre site, creating a complete end-to-end chemical production facility.

The company has built its reputation on the manufacture and supply of speciality chemicals sold in intermediate bulk containers of 1,000 litres. However, after identifying a gap in the market for industrial chemicals in smaller quantities it now offers small-pack solutions from one, five and 25 litre units.

The move will allow customers to differentiate themselves in the market by selling small pack chemicals alongside bulk and IBC quantities.

Daniel Marr, head of marketing at Airedale, said: “Not only can we now cater for those looking for industrial chemicals in smaller quantities, but we’re also the source of raw chemical materials, so we now offer a truly complete solution which sees off-the-shelf and bespoke formulated products leave the site.”

He added: “We are still in the early stages of this new venture and we’re looking to expand the small-pack service across a broad range of our products to enter new, high growth markets.”

Airedale Chemical was established in 1973 and provides speciality chemicals and contract manufacturing to markets including agriculture, dairy, water treatment and waste management.
