Croda breaks ground in China

Croda International has broken ground for a low-carbon, multi-purpose production facility on a greenfield site in Guangzhou. This triples its manufacturing capacity for fragrances and establishes its fist production capability for beauty actives, mainly botanicals, in China. It is also part of the company’s plan to deliver fast growth in Asia.
The new facility will consolidate fragrance production in China. Expected to be commissioned in 2025, it will also include application laboratories, R&D facilities and offices. Croda’s Fragrances & Flavours business was established through the 2020 acquisition of Iberchem, which has a 20-year track record of double-digit annual growth in China.
