The UK’s Chemical Business Association (CBA) held its annual lunch, universally known as the ‘Floggers’ Lunch’ at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 26 April, marking the 100th anniversary of its establishment in 1923. It also saw the end of Kate Mingay’s tenure as the first female chair in the association’s history.
To mark the occasion, the CBA received a letter of best wishes from the newly crowned King Charles III, which CEO Tim Doggett read out to the 1,100 attendees from member and affiliate companies, who include distributors, traders, logistics and service providers, manufacturers and consultancies. There was also a very well-received guest speech by comedian Katherine Ryan.
