Barcelona-based Esteve Química has acquired Regis Technologies, a hitherto privately owned CDMO headquartered in Chicago, and will add it to its own Esteve CDMO subsidiary. Terms were not disclosed. All of Regis’ 70 employees will transfer.

Esteve said that this would give it a physical presence in the US, expanding its CDMO services for small-molecule active APIs “across the entire drug development lifecycle from pre-clinical to commercial manufacturing”. Regis offers services including process R&D, analytical and stability, cGMP API manufacturing, CMC support and chromatography products, while Esteve is also active in spray drying HPAPI manufacturing.
