Solenis acquires NCH

Water treatment giant Solenis has agreed to acquire the NCH Group, a Texas-based firm active in the same field with 24 manufacturing plants and 76 distribution centres in 48 countries. Terms were not disclosed and the deal should be completed by the end of the year. The Levy family will remain as the largest minority shareholder.

Solenis, which itself has 70 facilities and employs over 16,500, said that the buy will create “ a more diversified, customer-centric provider of water and hygiene solutions”, uniting its global reach with NCH’s presence in the middle market. “Together, the newly combined company will provide attractive cross-selling opportunities, including meeting increasing customer demand for sustainable and digital solutions,” said CEO John Panichella.
