Bachem plans large-scale peptide facility

Bachem has signed an agreement to invest more than CHF 500 million in large-scale peptide manufacturing at a greenfield sin Sisslerfeld, Switzerland. This is described as part a programme to expand capacity across the company’s entire network, including facilities designed for high-volume production of peptides and oligonucleotides.

The strategic collaboration includes pre-payments and long-term commitments from undisclosed collaboration partners. The start of commercial production at the new site is expected in 2030.
