BASF is to add a new alkyl polyglucosides (APGs) plant at the Bangpakong site in Thailand. This will add to its APG capabilities at Düsseldorf, Cincinnati and Jinshan, China, with a further line due onstream at Cincinnati in 2026. No capacity details were disclosed.

APGs are biobased and readily biodegradable, mild, non-ionic secondary surfactants derived from 100% natural, renewable feedstocks. They are used increasingly in personal care, home care, industrial and institutional cleaning, industrial and agricultural applications.
