China’s PharmaBlock has officially inaugurated its new Oligonucleotide, Peptide and Conjugates (OPC) R&D centre in the Nanjing Jiangbei New Area. The 7,000 m2 facility can undertake projects in all three fields, with capabilities from bench-scale R&D to pilot-scale production. This doubles the OPC business’s R&D capacity and team size.
The centre features an ‘intelligent lyophilisation’ platform and standard laboratories, plus gas chromatography (GC), GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), high-resolution MS, a UPCC system, and an ion chromatography system. There are also dedicated OEB 5 laboratories for safe handling and process development of highly potent compounds. It all draws on PharmaBlock’s experience in continuous flow chemistry, biocatalysis, and AI-driven green intelligent manufacturing.
