LGC Group opens centre of excellence

The LGC Group has officially opened its $72 million, 17,200 m² Organic Chemistry Synthesis Centre of Excellence in Vaughan, Ontario, the site of its LGC Standards’ division’s Toronto Research Chemicals (TRC) operation. TRC supplies complex organic molecules, many unique, for drug discovery, diagnostics, forensic testing, and food and environmental safety.

LGC CEO Joydeep Goswami said that the investment “is about building capacity at scale, giving our customers faster, more reliable access to the essential tools that enable breakthroughs”. The new centre will supply products to over 170 countries.
