Curia to scale NCT process

ExoZymes, which develops AI-enhanced enzymes that transform abundant feedstock into nutraceuticals and novel medicines, will transfer its proprietary manufacturing process for N-trans-caffeoyltyramine (NCT) for scaling at Curia’s sites in León, Spain, and Rozzano, Italy. Los Angeles-based ExoZymes described this as “the next major step” from pilot-scale validation toward commercial manufacturing.
The programme includes the cross-validation of eXoZymes’ enzyme fermentation, cell-free reaction and purification processes. It also includes process modelling and engineering analysis to define a recommended path to larger-scale manufacturing. It is expected to progress during Q4 and is designed to establish the technical roadmap for subsequent larger-scale production in 2027.
