Lanxess invests in phosphorus
10% increase in phosphorus chlorides
Lanxess has invested €5 million in its back-integrated phosphorus chemicals production network in Leverkusen. This will increase phosphorus chlorides capacity by 10% by means of debottlenecking the production unit and improving the logistics concepts for the company’s drum- and tank car-filling facilities. Phosphorus chlorides are used as starting materials for the synthesis of flame retardants, water treatment chemicals, lubricant additives, crop protection active ingredients and APIs.
