FMC in Chinese joint venture

FMC Corporation and two Chinese partners, BCEG Environmental Remediation (BCEER) and Brisea Group, have signed a definitive agreement to form a joint venture. This will be called Beijing Enviro-Chem and will draw on various technologies from FMC’s Environmental Solutions division, together with BCEER’s position in the remediation market and Brisea’s in environmental technology transfer. IT will also provide R&D, laboratory feasibility testing, remedial design and technical support services.

Beijing Enviro-Chem will market FMC’s range of in situ chemical oxidation technologies, in situ chemical reduction technologies and environmental remediation solutions. Sales are expected immediately. FMC’s soil and groundwater remediation technologies have been used across six continents to remediate hydrocarbons, halogenated organics, organic explosive compounds, pesticides and heavy metals.
