Chemtura starts up MAO plant

Bergkamen expansion done in July

Chemtura’s Chemtura Organometallics subsidiary has announced that it started up its world-scale expansion project for Axion methylaluminoxane (MAO) at its site in Bergkamen, Germany, on schedule in July and using an exact replica of the company’s engineering and process technology. The expansion is fully back-integrated into on-site trimethylaluminum production. MAO is used in polymerisation co-catalysts in single-site catalyst technologies.
