EUROTOX welcomes you to Bratislava for the 53rd Annual Congress, featuring over 30 symposia and workshops, and offering the chance to strengthen professional relationships through networking activities.
The Association of European Toxicologists & European Societies of Toxicology (EUROTOX) aims to foster toxicology, both scientifically and educationally,
in all countries of Europe. To achieve this, EUROTOX organises an annual scientific congress, workshops, and postgraduate training courses.
The Scientific Programme Committee has prepared an exciting programme with more than 30 symposia and workshops that will highlight the novel findings in
the field of toxicology. Poster sessions and Continuing Education Courses will also offer a range of opportunities to enhance and enrich the professional
experience. Topics include experimental studies as well as educational, ethics, legal or social initiatives.
Programme highlights include a keynote lecture by Philip Steven Low of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on ‘Beyond non-human animals: human-based research’, as well as the much-anticipated SOT/EUROTOX debate, featuring Kenneth Hastings of Hastings Toxicology Consulting and Phil Bentley of Toxicodynamix International.
The Bo Holmstedt Memorial Foundation (BHMF) Lecture is presented every year to recognise outstanding research contributions to the science of toxicology. The Awardee is invited to the annual congress where the lecture is held and is presented with a certificate and a cash award. This year’s BHMF Lecture will take place on Tuesday 12th September.
In addition to the attractive scientific programme, the congress venue offers an attractive space for exhibition and side meetings of EUROTOX members, affiliated societies, sub-committees and other scientific groups and thus will aim into strengthening professional relationships and networking activities.
More than 1000 participants and 58 exhibitors attended the 2016 Congress, which was held in Seville, Spain. EUROTOX 2017 promises to attract top-tier professionals in toxicology – you can join them on 10th to 13th September at the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava.
