ChemSpec India welcomes you back to the vibrant city of Mumbai, the financial, commercial and industrial centre of India. The show takes place on 25th and 26th April at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
The fine and speciality chemicals industry in India represents a $30 billion market, which is growing at 10-12% annually – faster than the chemical sector as a whole. The industry not only serves the local market, but also the global one and is competitive in many areas, including China.
Mumbai is the most populace city in India, with an estimated city population of 18.4 million people. It is also the wealthiest city in India, generating more than 6% of the country’s total GDP. The city is the stronghold of Indian free enterprise and a major manufacturing centre for everything from cars and bicycles to pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals. It makes sense that ChemSpec India has made its home in this vibrant city.
A ‘must-attend’ event
Over the past decade, ChemSpec India has continued to develop and reinforce itself as the must-attend networking platform for both domestic and international buyers and sellers of fine and speciality chemicals. ChemSpec India 2016 welcomed more than 11,000 industry professionals from throughout India, Europe, China and the USA. Visitors were able to see 270 exhibitor companies on-site, and attend a range of technical conferences and seminars.
For 2017, a promising list of exhibitors is available on the event website. It comprises a mix of global majors alongside smaller, Indian niche companies, together representing diverse sectors of the chemical industry: organic and fine chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), drug intermediates, dyes and pigments, agrochemicals, contract and toll manufacturing, coatings, cosmetic chemicals and ingredients, pigments and solvents, surfactants, laboratory chemicals, and a host of speciality chemicals.
2017 will also see the return of a high-quality conference and seminar programme. These conferences deliver content that enable attendees to discover more about the Indian market, key industry trends and sector specific intelligence. They will include technical pharma-based workshops by Scientific Update, an acknowledged leader in the field of conferences, training courses and consultancy services.
This year, ChemSpec India plays host to the following co-located events.
The International Exhibition on Chemical Processing Technology, Equipment & Supplies will see visitors who are dealers, retailers, traders and manufacturers in the chemical and intermediates sectors, as well as marketing and sourcing heads, other professionals, and trade delegations from India and overseas.
The only dedicated exhibition on Chemical Logistics, Transportation & Warehousing in India. A number of major chemical producers are exhibiting at this event, which covers the wide spectrum of chemicals and petrochemicals.
The International Exhibition on Ingredients for Home, Personal and Institutional Care expects visitors was hugely popular in 2016. As well as networking with global ingredient and raw material suppliers, visitors will be given the opportunity to explore new opportunities in the home, personal and institutional care industry. A highlight of ChemHPIC India is the conference programme, which this year features sessions on the Indian Home & Personal Care Industry and Indian Surfactants.
